thanks to an early revealed birthdaypresent for the jefferton sprout from the tambourine frog which turned out to be un radio pour le automobile, we were able to listen, to sing and to whistle to all sorts of musical creations...so we walked like a panther with tony christie, walked further miles and miles with the proclaimers, and the beat went on...how bizarre!
heat pixies kidnapped the thermometer after the inside-car temperature had reached a scorching 50 C...
friendly agnes bed&breakfast-lady provided us with reeeeeaaaal belgian coffee, a thermos flask and moon&stars cups for the journey ahead
at the ferry port we turned down the french blokes request of having him as a blind passenger...merely because he wouldnt tell us "se story of se ippo" as we "along came polly"ishly expected. what a great disappointment!
back "home home" there was: inbetween pulling out carpets and loading the trailer with boxes au mass ...eating out at the greek restaurant as well as sushibar, treating ourselves to "squid"ish woktan takeaways, celestial cake and beautiful breakfast bliss...sweet sweet glutony...funfair-adventures with long ferry wheel rides and short "black hole" rollercoaster ones...wrapped up in the smell of popcorn and roasted almonds i wished to be a candy apple myself!
on the way back "home" there was an unmeant abrupt stop in guilford as some nasty car demons sucked out all the brake fluid...so there were hours of hangman in the car, plenty of phonecalls, a kilo of sighs of desperation & disappointment and a ton of hugs&smiles, bladder relief thanks to cadbury jars and orangeade bottles and eventually: a nocturnal arrival at the parental house of a J in a rental car that, too, had a vanilla scented car smelly dangling from the mirror...making us feel somewhat at home.
